floods in central europe


More on the floods that are making their way south through Central Europe. Prague water level is now falling, but Dresden might suffer the worst tomorrow. (Previous entry on this here).

It is amazing and humbling to look at the photos of these places, and seeing the effects of water on what we build.

Of particular interest (some cynical humour):
"Besides the human toll, the floods have also done something almost unheard of -- stopped production of the Czechs' two most famous beers, Pilsner and the original Budweiser"
wow. Lots of water and no beer. What an impact.
