D-dayNo... this is not about Normandy... today is my birthday! Yesterday I was in a philosophical mood, thinking about things such as how the world has changed since I was born twenty-eight years ago... ...it's obvious that the world has changed. So what. Life is change (and no change is death one way or another) and yet we are always surprised when it happens... ...and so many changes this past year... ...for me, for all of us. But my philosophical mood was yesterday. Today I'm having trouble writing this down. My mind is ... blank. I keep looking out the window. It's a beautiful day outside, blue skies and huge white-gray clouds on the horizon, moving East... ...I've been listening to All that you can't leave behind. Such a great album. I'm going out for my daily run now. And, you know what? I'm happy.
