now downloading......all 1.4 GB of Red Hat 9. The plan is to attempt a full, clean install of it on my Thinkpad laptop. No Windows partition whatsoever. No FAT or NTFS. Between IDEA, OpenOffice, Firebird, and clevercactus, I should have all I need. We'll see how it goes. I wish you luck, Diego. I tried this more than once in the past but couldn't stay with linux alone. But I'm too much on the graphics/multimedia/image/communication/whatever side, i think. No doubt that more advanced stuff would require photoshop... so far it's working out remarkably well though. Much better than I expected!
