So many computer users I encounter do not use anti-virus software, aren't even aware that one came with their computer, or that it will automatically update their virus update list.
I've even come across a user on a discussion list I moderated who refuses to use antivirus software and was then banned from the list since every e-mail they submitted had a virus.
